Meet Laura

Laura Soparlo is currently an organization development and consultant with her own company in Regina. In 2007 she branched out on her own, following 20 years as a successful intrapreneur, change agent and strategist with a large healthcare organization. She was sought after by many organizations for her expertise in strategy, governance and leadership. Since then, she has led over 100 organizations and groups through challenging organizational transformation across Canada.

Laura fosters open dialogue through a structured processes tailored to the unique needs of her clients, which results in clarity of purpose, goals and measurable outcomes. Depending on the size and scope of the project, Laura develops a customized plan with a team of experts to deliver the best process possible.


Laura is passionate about developing authentic leaders within the community. She is a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina on leadership and the Master Facilitator for the Saskatchewan Institution of Health Leadership with the Business and Professional Development Centre for Continuing Education, University of Regina. She has inspired and coached many individuals in their quest to become passionate leaders who make a difference.


Laura is committed to involvement within her community and has held numerous positions on boards both provincially and nationally such as the United Way, Hospitals of Regina Foundation, Canadian Human Resources Association and the Wascana Racing Canoe Club.  In 2012, she was named as one of Saskatchewan’s Women of Influence by Saskatchewan Business Magazine. She continues to volunteer with many nonprofit organizations and is an active philanthropist in the community.


Laura is motivated by challenging goals and always strives for excellence. She is a competitive masters canoe/kayaker winning medals at both national and international levels. Her claim to fame is winning three golds and two silvers for Canada at the World’s in 2005. In April 2009 she ran the Boston Marathon. In August 2010 was named Canadian women masters kayaker of the year. She continues to compete as a successful master athlete all over the world with various teams…2012 Milan Italy, 2014 in Poznan Poland, and 2017 Puerto Rico.
